Volunteers are special here at WLMS because they provide their precious time to make the school experience better for their children, teachers and staff. Your time and effort make events run smoother. Helping teachers with their tasks frees up their time so they can provide more quality instructional time for your child. Sponsors and donations allow us to purchase much needed teaching materials, equipment, and supplies as well as provide incentives and rewards for hard-working students. 

We welcome any and all help and we would like to assist you with finding the best way to volunteer. Our SignUp.com scheduling website is flexible and accommodating for your busy schedule. Whether you can give 30 minutes or 3 hours of your time, it is of inmense value to our school. Our Volunteer Coordinators can discuss your volunteer options. Here are some examples:

• assisting with PTO or school events 
• helping teachers or clubs with activities 
• working in the school store 
• helping out in the media center or cafeteria
• assisting with projects at home
• asking for prize donations at local businesses
• providing business partner contacts
• sponsoring teacher breakfasts
• donating needed items ​

If you are ready to register as a volunteer, follow these steps to get started. 

1. Register online with the district through the RAPTOR system.  You will need to provide your drivers license, which will be used for a background check.
2. After you receive an email approval from RAPTOR, you are ready to use the SignUp system to choose the event for which you wish to volunteer.
   
3. On the day of the event, scan your drivers license at the WLMS Welcome Center office.  Your name tag will be printed out and must be worn at all times when on campus. Then check in with your event volunteer coordinator.
